The modeled inundation areas assume the simultaneous occurrence of two rare events: (1) a structural failure of the dam, and (2) significant flooding of the Sabine River system at the same time. These maps are planning estimates and should not be interpreted as forecasts or as precise representations of actual flooding outcomes.
